A tragic plane crash in California claimed the lives of two people and left 18 others injured after a small aircraft struck a commercial building in Fullerton, CA. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, just after 2:15 PST, as confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The single-engine Van’s RV-10 crashed shortly after takeoff from Fullerton Airport, sparking a fire that was quickly extinguished by emergency crews. Ten of the injured individuals were transported to local hospitals, while the remaining eight were treated at the scene. Officials have yet to clarify whether the deceased were on board the aircraft or were among the workers inside the building at the time of impact.
Congressman Lou Correa stated that the plane crashed into Michael Nicholas Designs, a furniture manufacturing business. More than a dozen victims are believed to be factory workers.
